What
is a TOKEN?
A Token is a way for you to say to someone, you care for them.
Every time you write a prayer note for someone you have the opportunity to
give them a token be it a Lit candle, a rainbow, a faith symbol and so forth.
How do I get Tokens? Tokens

Activity Points. If you have enough points you may use the Activity Points
to buy a token when you wish to give a token to someone.
When you sign up you are given enough points to buy one token to start. See
"How do I get more Activity Points?"
What can I do with Tokens? The Tokens
(the little icons of a Lit candle, a butterfly, a religious symbol etc)
can be given to someone when you write a note or write a prayer to them. This
shows them your support and caring.
What
are ACTIVITY POINTS? Points are used to give Tokens or purchase more
time for your web site. You may also buy merchandise from selected stores.
How
do I get more Activity Points?
You can earn more Activity Points many ways.
Every time you pray for someone else and leave a note, you get 6
Activity Points. This is our way to try to support everyone to get more prayers.
Every time someone joins Prayers4.com and uses your email name you get 100
points. The
person who signed up and used your name also gets an additional 20 activity
points beyond there original starter points for signing up.
What
can I do with Activity Points? You may use them to buy Tokens (the little
icons of a lit candle ,a butterfly, a religious symbol etc) and give
them to someone when you write a note or write a prayer to them. You may do
this to show your caring and support for them.
Coming soon: With Activity Points,
you may also use them to purchase more time for your web page to be shown,
or other options for your web page, like BOLD type for example.

Can
I give my Activity Points to another person? Yes
you can. You will need to send us an email note to Transfer@Prayers4.com
from your login email account address and tell us whom you wish to transfer
them to.
I
want to pray for someone but I do not want to join and give you my email address,
Can I? Yes
you can. The only things you can not do, is give them Tokens or receive activity
points. Only those who sign up and log in can receive tokens to give. Feel
free to pray for as many people as you like. The world always needs more prayers
and miracles.
What
are Search words?
You may put search words on your pray page. This will allow others to find
you and the topic, problem you may have.
Your topic might be something not in your listing like your state or city
name. You might want to add into the edit box words that make it easy for
people to find that.
My original problem is better and I would
like to put up something else that came up. Do I have to get a brand new page
for it? NO
you can change the whole venue and meaning of what your site is. Your site
might start with requesting prayers like “Say a prayer for me, I
have a broken arm.”. Later you may change it to “I need
money to pay the doctor s...”.
How do I get a movie (YouTube) to play
on my site? At this time we only support movies from Youtube.com.
YouTube is a free web site for putting up any video you like. You may use
any YouTube video you like. You may also create your own movie/video and add
it to the YouTube site, then you can Copy the code they supply based on your
movie to show on Prayers4.com.
The
code on YouTube will be marked Embed: and the code you will
copy will look something like this < object width="425" height="344" ><
param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cvCjyWp3rEk... etc>
Select
the code and copy it. Come back to this site and on the PROFILE
page select "Select Vid". A new page will show up called
"Chose a face image or icon." , Paste the code into the box
on the right, labeled "You may enter the YouTube code here".
After you have pasted the code in, hit the "Set YouTube"
button. Finally
hit the SAVE button at the bottom of the page, It will then
return you to where you left off.
How can I make my page attract more
people? Send out Information email to all your friends to view your
site. Have a mailing list of friends and family who would like to be notified
whenever the web site content is updated.
Tell people in your church, synagogue, prayers and hobby groups about your
site here, then ask them to visit. Do NOT assume they will show up if you
just tell them you have a site, write the sites web address down for them,
you must ask them to visit.
Always
use a photo and a movie if you have one, to receive more attention.
Think of your subject title, does it tell your story the best way? If not,
then try rewording it.
Pray for others, and write a note and give them tokens. They will then more
than likely do the same for you. As the movie "Pay it Forward";
help others just too help, and it will come back to you.
Become
an Emerald member and select
"High lighted Featured list" . Your site also gets put to the top
in search list items with "High lighted on Searches...".
How
can I increase the time my page is listed without paying? If you
have enough points, you may use the Activity Points to extend your listing
time. There are many ways to get more points.
Why can I not have my email address or phone
number and so forth in my page? We do this for everyone safety. We
are aware that there are some bad people out there in the world.

Someone said something inappropriate,
what can I do? You can click on the "Report
Comment". You may also send us an email describing what
the problem is. We are very sensitive to this and we attempt to deal with
them as soon as we are alerted.
Some
things I type do not show, why?
We filter out some things that we do not think are appropriate or
do not follow safety guide lines. We do not allow words that some find offensive,
phone numbers or other web page url's for example.
How
do I get on the Featured list or at the top of the search results?
This is a Optional paid part as shown on the
Account Upgrade page.
I have a Church group I pray with.
I want to have a private area that only those in my group can be part of it,
can I do this? Coming soon:
If you’re part of a Group or extended family and so forth and wish to
keep your site private for only use your use, you may with Prayers4. It is
easy and free to do, just follow the instructions below.
On
the Edit profile page
you can set who may visit your site and who may leave messages based on a
password approval code.

Where
do I put my Prayer request story?
If
you have created an account, you will put in your TITLE in the HEADLINE as
quick description of your needs on this page profile
text. After your headline is done, fill out in as much detail as you like
your full story or request in the area marked Your Prayer Request
on the same page. The first 48 characters of your request will also appear
after your headline when your request shows on the home page "Please
pray for" list.
What
is the approval code?
The approval code let you choose who may view your request and or
make comments and leave prayers for you. Someone might only want their family
and friends to see the prayer request and or give a prayer. If you set this
to "Only allow with my approval code to enter."
only those with the approval code may do that. You set your own secret code
for this. You will then have to let those who you wish to see or pray for
you know the code you set.
Select
Image
There are two picture or icons to use picture or images. One is selected
on the Account Owner
page (Tab 1) This one is your image used when YOU leave
a prayer or comment for someone. Picture Two is on the Edit
Profile (Tab 2) page. This is the image or picture that will show if you
create a Request
for prayer page.
How do I submit a picture? Login to Prayers4.com, and click
on ‘Select Images’ near the top of the page.
A
new page will show up called "Chose a face image or icon."
, Click
on "Chose File" button. A window should show up with a list of files
on your hard drive. Navigate and find your image on your disk/computer. Next,
click on ‘Upload New Image’ and the process is done. Finally hit
the SAVE button at the bottom of the page, It will then return
you to where you left off.
If you don't
have a picture on your computer and don't have a digital camera, go to a store
like Kinko's copy shop and have them scan in a picture for you.
Uploading Problems. If you
get an error that says you need to login again, click logout, login once more,
and go to the images page. Try uploading your image again. Images are uploaded
instantly, if your image is too big it won't upload.
You may also have Problems uploading your Image if ...
1. Your Image is much larger than 20 Megabyte.
2. Most common error is that you are trying to upload a Word
Document or a Text file thinking it is an image.
3. Your Image already contains Compression Errors or is corrupt.
4. Your Image contains a Non-Standard Compression Algorithm
such as the AOL Proprietary Compression Algorithm
5. Your uploaded BMP & JPG
Images are 8 Bits or less, and not in the RGB Color Model.
6. Your uploaded GIF does not comply with
the GIF89a Graphics Standard, non-standard Interlacing, Compression
or Animation.
7. The Image File Naming Convention is not ASCII Text, but
Chinese, Funky Unicode, etc.
8. Your Image is too small, less than 100
Pixels on any Side: See: Image File Sizes
9. You have re-named another Image Format, such as TIF,
PSD, PNG, etc. to any of the accepted Prayers4
Extensions of JPG, BMP or GIF,
hoping it would somehow upload.
Items #1 and #2 can be changed by using the "Crop" or "Resize"
Function of your Picture Editor
The largest Size a picture on your Profile can be displayed by your Browser
is 255 Pixels wide by 255 Pixels high.
The small Picture
that is posted when you Pray for someone is 50 Pixels wide
by 50 Pixels high.
For Images that "appeared" OK on your Computer, but look awful after
you have uploaded them to your Profile, unless your Image was partially corrupt,
a Non-Standard or Proprietary JPG Compression Algorithm,
its usually the Result of too much severe Compression one too many Times,
causing extreme Amplification of Image Degradation.
You can only upload the jpg, jpeg, gif, png, svg, bmp, tif, tiff Format. Since
the GIF only has 256 Colors, and the Prayers4
JPG Compression Filter renders at the 24
Bit color Level. We recommend JPG or JPEG
files.
Taking a picture of yourself using a Digital Camera in the RAW
or TIF Image Format(s), if your Camera supports it/them,
then converting to BMP and uploading to your Profile will
produce the sharpest, clearest and most colorful Images.
